University of Africa Zambia

My review of the University of Africa, Zambia, is based on information about its academic programmes, learning methods, fees, and accreditation.

I consider it an institution worth exploring for students who want to continue their education while balancing work and other responsibilities. The university was established in 2008 and is located in Lusaka, Zambia.

It focuses on providing flexible learning opportunities for students who want to improve their knowledge, skills, and career prospects.

One thing I find interesting about the University of Africa is the variety of programmes it offers. Students can choose from different fields, including Business Administration, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Public Administration, Education, Law, Social Work, and Health Sciences.

The university also offers postgraduate programmes, such as the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and several master’s degrees in education and social work. I believe this variety gives prospective students an opportunity to select a programme that matches their interests and future career goals.

Another important factor I consider is accreditation. According to the university’s 2025 prospectus, the institution is registered and accredited by Zambia’s Higher Education Authority (HEA). The HEA’s institutional information also lists accredited learning programmes offered by the university.

Before enrolling, I would still confirm that my chosen programme is currently accredited and that its qualification meets the requirements of employers or professional bodies in the country where I intend to work.

Regarding learning methods, I appreciate the university’s focus on flexible education. Its prospectus describes modular study materials, technology-supported learning, examinations, and residential sessions that allow students to interact with lecturers and administrators.

The university also promotes distance learning, which may be suitable for people who cannot attend traditional classes every day.

However, I understand that distance learning requires discipline, good time management, and regular personal study. I would also check whether my chosen programme requires physical attendance or practical training.

Fees are another important consideration for me when choosing a university. I could not confirm a reliable, current tuition-fee schedule covering all programmes, so I would not want to provide figures that might mislead prospective students.

Before applying, I would contact the admissions office to obtain the exact fees in Zambian kwacha (ZMW) and their approximate equivalent in United States dollars (USD).

I would also ask about registration fees, examination charges, learning materials, payment instalments, scholarships, and any additional costs.

In my opinion, the University of Africa may be a suitable option for students seeking flexible study arrangements and career development opportunities. However, I would not make my final decision based on the programme list alone.

I would compare the curriculum, total cost, learning support, admission requirements, and qualification recognition with those of other institutions.

Overall, I believe prospective students should research carefully before enrolling at the University of Africa, Zambia.

I would contact the university directly, verify the accreditation of my preferred programme, and request written confirmation of all fees.

Taking these steps would help me make an informed decision and choose a university that supports my educational and professional ambitions.
